How to use Post-em Notes on this site ...

WPA Post-em Notes can be used for many purposes by clicking on the individual's name and using the form provided.

Some Examples:

“This is my gg-grandfather. Would like to exchange info with others related.”
“John Smith’s birthdate was actually 26 Oct 1898 per [state source(s)].”
“Fredrick Smith's wife’s maiden name was Mary Johnson. Email me for more info.”
“Burial place is incorrect as listed. Should be Graceland Cem., Henry Twp.”
“I have info on other relatives with this surname not listed in WPA records. Contact me.”

Adding a New Post-em

Click on the individual’s name, then fill in the fields displayed. Select a password of your choosing. There is no preregistration required. (Be sure to also record your password in a safe place for future reference.)

Please keep your Post-em Notes very brief and specific to the individual listed. Obituaries should be posted to the appropriate county GenWeb Obituary Message Board, then add a link to the obit via the "Post-em". Avoid using Post-em Notes as a substitute for email to others who have posted. Use the Email contact form provided to exchange further info. Post-em notes should be used to add to or to clarify information about an individual which will add to this database for genealogical purposes. Post-em notes used inappropriately are subject to removal.
