Message:Fred was son of James H. Watkins and Frances Conklin Remy. He married Fannie Cocklin on 24 May 1919 and had 2 daughters .He was the chief linotype operator at the Red Oak Express for over 25 yrs. He died 23 March 1937.

Message:Correct name Randolph Watkins. Born Knox Co, OH to Bernard & Charlotte (Littleton) Watkins. Married Matilda Kerrihard on 24 Dec 1868. 3 daughters-Anna Lloyd, Alma Wilkins, Bonnie Stevens. Foster child Joshua Lou Berriman aka Watkins. Came to Red Oak 1866, to Neb 1873-74 back to Red Oak to farm. Helped move courthouse from Frankfort to Red Oak in 1866. My g-grandfather.

Message:This is my great great-grandmother born Eilzabeth Ash on 3 Nov 1833 in Onondaga Co, NY she married Peter Lawton who emigrated from England in 1829 as a small child, they had 8 children that survived to adulthood.

Message:Louis and Belle Starkey were my great grand parents. They were Norwegian. Great grandpa his home was in Waterville Iowa in Allamakee County Belle was from Winneshiek County. Starkey had been altered it used to be Stùckkey. have been simplified when the family came to America to Starkey.Lottie Henrietta their second youngest daughter was my grandma.

Message:Sarah “Salley” SLAVEN >DINWIDDIE – my 4th Great Grandmother (17feb1784- 30 Aug 1854). ..who at age of about 70, with a windowed son (John Dinwiddie (1809-1870)), traveled from Ohio by wagon to Boone, Iowa – and essentially died as it seems trying to help her daughter Mary (with 6 kids and various businesses) through the sudden loss of her husband (Robert Smith) in the Boone, Iowa area.

Message:This is most likely Benjamin K. McCan, born about 1834 in Ohio. Served in Co. "A", 35th Ia Infantry. Died about December 1883. Married Esther LeCornu in 1857 and had 4 children, two of which died young: Charles H. and Marguerite A. McCan. The other two children were: Mary McCan Blakeley and John W. McCan. He is buried in Pleasantville cemetery in Sullivan co., Mo.
