Message:Larine is actually Larine 'Sorina' (Hegg) Abrahamson. She was born in Lier, Norway Jan 7, 1927 • Immigrated 1853 • Married Peter Abrahamson, April 1854 and died in 1874. She was mother to six children all born in Decorah.

Message:No Morris is indeed the last name. Nicholas and Ann (lynch) Morris are my maternal great, great grandparents. They were both likely born in County Mayo, Ireland. Ann's father's name was Patrick Lynch and was born in 1807. Ann's mother's name was Margaret Burns.

Message:William Kuesel was my paternal grandmother's (Emma Kuesel/ Burg) father. He stubbed his toe during the 4th of July footrace in Massena and died of gangrene in Setember of 1888.

Message:Alphonso's son Charles was my great-grandfather. His wife Leora MacGinitie moved eventually to Fresno, Ca., after his early death and raised their kids. My grandmother is Rosealtha Cornell Van Tuyl. (You might recognize her first name.) My mother is Carol Van Tuyl Scott. Best wishes to family members who read this. Like to meet some day.

Message:There is nothing to indicate Civil War service in 1895. 1905, or 1915 Iowa Censuses. No pension record and nothing in his bio to indicate CW service. Only person with a name close to his died in or before 1893.

Message:Believe this John (Johann) Dotzler and "unknwn" Dotzler are one and the same. He was husband to Appalonia. The death date corresponds with the known death date of Appalonia's husband Johann. His dob was most likely 1817, Bavaria. See Appalonia Dotzler. I am their g. grandson.

Message:Alexander Rose, buried in the Livingston Pioneer Cemetery is the father of Margaret Rose who married David Esson in the Selkirk Settlement, Red River (Winnipeg). I am looking for burial places of David & Margaret. They lived in East Cascade after Jones County/Dubuque. Margaret at least died there as a widow.
