Born in Batavia, New York 8 Feb., 1818. She married Charles Lee Davis on 10 Nov., 1841 in New York. In the spring of 1856, they picked up stakes from St. Joseph Co., Michigan and homesteaded in Crystal Township, Tama Co., Iowa. Polly Ann Davis gave the township its name. The funeral services were held in Salem Church Sabbath afternoon, Dr. Bailey officiated. There was a large number there to attest their love and esteem for this worthy mother and friend.
