WATTERS" Post-ems: Posted By: JOHN WATERS   (email) 2008-12-01 21:38:38  Related Link:   Elizabeth (Mason) Waters this is my gg grandfather. he is buried with his wife elizabeth (mason) waters and daughter ida belle. they were married in 1847 and had eight children. for some reason, he added another "t" to his last name later in life. all of his sons spelled their last name with one "t", but the children of william (3rd son) added a "t" to their last name as well. still trying to figure out why. Posted By: JOHN WATERS   (email) 2008-11-30 15:28:57  actually he died in 1902 (above is a typo). i have visited his grave and have a good picture of it. it's very prominent. it is actually quite the monument and simon and elizabeth and samuel and ida belle are engraved on the face, so obviously someone upgraded it and i wonder who would have done that. ida belle's original stone marker remains next to it.
